Cinnamon Apple Bread Pudding is an easy, comforting dessert that you can make with simple ingredients at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of Brioche, cubed (about 6 cups)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 3 tbs unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup apple sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 2 granny smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut the brioche loaf into one-inch cubes. Day-old bread is best, but add a little less milk if you are using fresh.
  3. Chop the apples into small cubes and combine them with cubed bread. Pour bread mix into the non-stick pan.
  4. Whisk the milk, melted butter, apple sauce, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and salt in a separate bowl.  Pour the mixture evenly over the bread. You can allow it to soak for 15 minutes overnight or bake right away.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes uncovered or until the center is set. Test the “doneness” by inserting a knife in the middle; it should come out clean.
  6. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on top and a drizzle of homemade or storebought caramel sauce.
